Folk Rockers The Avett Brothers Set Ford Center Concert
Grammy-nominated band to perform Sept. 11, with tickets to be announced and sponsorships available

OXFORD, Miss. – The Grammy-nominated folk-rock band The Avett Brothers are set to perform Sept. 11 at the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts at the University of 91ÉçÇø.
Known for their powerful live shows and heartfelt songwriting, will bring their signature sound to one of 91ÉçÇø's premier performance venues. The group melds bluegrass, country, punk, pop, folk, rock 'n' roll, indie rock, honky-tonk and ragtime to deliver a novel sound.
The band has released 11 studio albums, the most recent a self-titled release in May 2024. "I and Love and You," released in 2009, was the band's best-selling album with 500,000 sales. The group has been nominated for four Grammy Awards and has won several Americana Music Honors & Awards.

"Their music brings people together across generations, and this performance promises to be one of the highlights of our season," said Julia Aubrey, director.
Tickets for the will go on sale in late July, with public sales beginning in August. Details about show time, pricing and purchasing will be announced soon.
However, enthusiastic fans can secure their seats early and enjoy a special experience by becoming concert sponsors, with proceeds benefiting the Ford Center.
"Sponsorship packages are ideal for individuals, families or businesses seeking a one-of-a-kind evening with one of America's most celebrated bands," said Brett Barefoot, Ole Miss executive director for central development.
The title sponsorship includes a large banner hanging on the University Avenue through December, a site that is highly visible to the Grove and football traffic. Other benefits of the title sponsorship include recognition in lobbies and season programs, two VIP boxes, access to sponsors-only open bars during the concert, and entry to an exclusive pre-show reception for sponsors and guests in their boxes.
